Sutton Takes Pride in Our Products

People often say that ‘it’s the little things in life that make it grand.’ Here at The Sutton Place Hotel we value that sentimentality greatly and that’s why this week, we’re proud to highlight our toiletries exclusively made by Gilchrist & Soames.

Who Are They?

Though they may be little, these highly coveted items make a big difference to our guests. Why? Much like our hotels, Gilchrist & Soames take pride in providing clients with superior quality products that are consistently impressive and made with care and passion.

For nearly fourty years, this London-based company has maintained an impeccable reputation among the luxury hotel community and guests. You could say that they are experts at what they do, and it shows in their mission statement:

“At Gilchrist & Soames, our mission is to provide luxurious toiletry products and a concierge level of service to enhance the guest experience at the finest hotels and resorts around the world. We blend rich English formulations, botanical ingredients and unique aromas from around the world to create truly memorable hair, bath and body products. Our formulations and aromas are perfected only to the highest of exacting standards.”

 The Green Initiative

There are other reasons why we are proud to highlight the brand too. Much like us, they are committed to upholding responsible environmental practices. For example, where we hold a green key standard for our hotel practices, Gilchrist & Soames is partnered with Clean the World Foundation, Inc. (a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to saving lives and preserving the environment through a hotel amenities recycling program).

Where we take care to practice responsible:

  • Energy conservation
  • Water conservation
  • Solid waste management
  • Hazardous waste management
  • Indoor air quality
  • Community outreach
  • Building infrastructure
  • Land use
  • Environmental management

They take care to:

  • Study their ingredient’s impact on soil and water
  • Ensure that their packaging is minimal, recyclable and less wasteful

So yes, it’s the little things that matter because, when used in the right way, they can makebig changes.
